Zencoder has launched Zen Agents, a new AI platform built to help developer teams work faster, smarter, and more in sync. Unlike typical coding assistants that support individual developers, Zen Agents is designed for the real-world teamwork that drives modern software development.

Zen Agents lets teams create and share custom AI agents tailored to their tools, codebases, and workflows. These agents automate repetitive tasks like testing and code reviews, helping teams avoid delays during handoffs. Developers can also access a new open-source marketplace to find and share agents built by others.

This approach solves a key gap in today’s coding tools. Most AI platforms work in isolation. But software teams don’t. Zen Agents focuses on team dynamics, shrinking feedback loops and keeping everyone aligned.

Zencoder’s system is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standard created by Anthropic and supported by OpenAI. It lets large language models connect with external tools and services. To support this, Zencoder built its own registry with over 100 MCP-compatible servers.

Security and compliance are top-tier. Zen Agents is certified with ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, and ISO 42001, making it safe for enterprise teams.

Pricing is simple. There’s a free version, plus $20 and $40 monthly plans. Zencoder says the more you use it, the more you save in engineering time.

The most exciting part? The open-source agent marketplace. Developers can build agents for any workflow, from automating pull requests to checking for accessibility issues. As CEO Andrew Filev put it, “Teams already use Zen Agents to take wireframes from Figma, generate code, and submit it—all automatically.”

Early adopters are already seeing results. Matt Walker, CTO at Simon Data, says it’s cut down on context-switching across their teams. Zen Agents, he notes, helps AI fit the way real teams work.

Zencoder’s mission goes beyond writing code. It’s about keeping developers in flow—those rare moments of deep focus. By reducing the need to jump between tasks, Zen Agents helps devs stay in the zone longer.

While focused on engineering today, the platform has broader potential. Users have already started adapting it for marketing, automation, and beyond. As the developer community continues to build, Zen Agents may become the backbone of team-based AI workflows across industries.
