Maju Kuruvilla, the former CEO of Bolt, is back with a new e-commerce venture — Spangle AI. This startup is designed to fix a major issue most shoppers face online. Often, when people click on an ad, they don’t land on the product they expected. Instead, they’re sent to a generic page, making it harder to find the item that caught their interest.

This frustrating experience leads to low conversion rates. Customers abandon their shopping carts, and retailers lose potential sales. Spangle AI plans to change that by delivering personalized landing pages powered by artificial intelligence.

Spangle AI uses a proprietary AI model called ProductGPT. This model reads customer behavior in real-time and generates a landing page that directly matches the shopper’s search or ad click.

For example, if someone clicks on an ad for red sneakers, they won’t land on a generic homepage. Instead, they’re taken straight to a product page showing those red sneakers. This simple change helps keep shoppers engaged and increases the chances of a sale.

This AI-powered approach creates a seamless experience. It removes unnecessary steps and improves the connection between what a shopper clicks and what they see.

The company, based in Seattle, raised $6 million in seed funding. Major investors like Madrona Ventures and Streamlined Ventures led the round. These firms specialize in supporting startups that leverage cutting-edge technology.

With this funding, Spangle AI is scaling operations and targeting partnerships with large retailers eager to improve conversion rates.

Spangle AI isn’t the only startup using AI to reshape online shopping. Competitors like Unbounce raised $40 million to develop no-code landing pages. Similarly, Dubai-based Qeen.AI recently secured $10 million to build smart shopping assistants.

What sets Spangle AI apart is its early success. In testing, the platform boosted conversion rates by 51%. That’s a powerful result for retailers looking to maximize every click.

Kuruvilla brings valuable experience to this venture. Before joining Bolt, he spent nearly eight years at Amazon working on e-commerce infrastructure. During his time at Bolt, he helped steer the company through challenging moments and rapid growth.

Now, he’s focused on solving one of the biggest challenges in e-commerce — turning clicks into conversions. According to Kuruvilla, creating a frictionless shopping journey is what Spangle AI does best.

“I love solving tough problems,” Kuruvilla shared. “Spangle AI is about improving online shopping and helping businesses grow.”

As online shopping becomes more competitive, tools like Spangle AI could be game-changers. Retailers who adopt AI-driven landing pages will likely see higher sales and better customer experiences.
