Startup,Urban retailers have long struggled with messy logistics and stock inefficiencies that not only hurt profits but also take a toll on the environment. London-based startup Ridelogix is stepping up with a smarter approach. By combining real-time inventory management with electric cargo bike deliveries, the company is building a more efficient and eco-friendly model for urban retail logistics.

The company just wrapped up its pre-seed funding round, with Bethnal Green Ventures (BGV) taking the lead. This is BGV’s second investment in Ridelogix, following the startup’s selection for its £33 million “tech for good” fund in 2024—an initiative backed by the British Business Bank and M&G Capital. The fund, set to support 100 impact-driven startups, aims to reach £50 million by May 2024.

This funding round also marks BGV’s first lead investment in a startup from its new accelerator cohort, which centers on sustainability, health, and inclusion.

Ridelogix to Expand Talent and Tech with New Funding

Ridelogix co-founder Lili Kyuchuk-Pakyuz shared with TFN that the fresh funding will help expand their team, improve platform capabilities, and onboard more retail clients. “This investment lets us bring in more tech and operations talent, strengthen our infrastructure, and better serve enterprise clients,” she said.

Founded to Fix a Broken Urban Logistics System

Ridelogix was founded in early 2023 by Lili and Serhat Kyuchuk-Pakyuz, a husband-and-wife team with deep roots in logistics and finance. Serhat previously worked as a Senior Manager at Amazon, while Lili held roles at Oakley Capital and Goldman Sachs.

Their inspiration? A growing frustration with the inefficiency of urban retail logistics—especially watching half-empty delivery vans clog city streets and generate excess emissions and waste. “We saw how broken the system was and knew there had to be a better way,” said Lili. “So, we built one.”

The result is a platform that helps retailers slash waste, lower emissions, and maximize stock availability—all while improving margins. To date, Ridelogix has completed more than 5,000 zero-emission deliveries for retail clients.

A Circular Model for Fast, Smart Retail Replenishment

At the heart of Ridelogix’s innovation is a circular, rapid inventory replenishment system powered by data and clean transportation. The platform offers real-time insights into stock issues and provides optimization strategies tailored to individual stores. Products are then delivered using e-cargo bikes, capable of carrying up to 300kg with zero emissions.

“Our platform doesn’t just analyze inventory—it gets products to where they’re needed, fast and sustainably,” explained Lili. “Most players in this space only focus on one part—either software or delivery. We combine both.”

Retailers lose billions annually to inventory distortion—the mismatch between stock levels and actual demand. In 2023 alone, this issue cost the industry an estimated $1.77 trillion globally, due to out-of-stock sales losses and heavy discounts on surplus goods.

Ridelogix’s all-in-one solution reduces these losses by improving product availability through smarter, more agile replenishment. This, in turn, boosts sales while cutting environmental impact.

Outpacing Competitors with Execution and Agility

While companies like Nextail and Onebeat offer strong forecasting tools, Ridelogix stands out by ensuring execution. “We don’t just tell retailers what to do—we help them do it,” said Lili. “With our e-cargo bikes and live analytics, we close the loop between inventory planning and delivery.”

Looking ahead, Ridelogix wants to be more than just a logistics tool—it aims to become the operating system for sustainable urban retail. The team is working to enhance the platform’s sophistication and scale its capabilities to handle returns and excess stock pickups.

“We’re getting strong signals from retailers who are ready to shift to sustainable solutions,” Lili added. “This is just the beginning.”

Nelly Lavielle, Partner Investment Principal at BGV, emphasized why they chose to lead this round. “Ridelogix is solving a major problem—retailers need to know what stock is needed and where, then move it fast and sustainably,” she said. “Their traction shows this solution is urgent and relevant.”
