With cyber-attacks escalating in complexity and frequency, the cybersecurity world is reaching a critical breaking point. A growing wave of AI-driven threats has pushed many organizations to the edge, especially as the global shortage of skilled professionals continues to widen. Recent data reveals that two-thirds of companies struggle with cybersecurity talent gaps—and only 14% feel fully confident in their teams’ capabilities. Analysts can barely manage a third of the daily security alerts, and a staggering 83% of those turn out to be false positives. Most teams are still burdened with manual processes, leaving them overwhelmed and under-resourced.

Qevlar AI, a Paris-based cybersecurity startup aiming to redefine how Security Operations Centers (SOCs) operate. By developing fully autonomous SOC systems powered by advanced AI, Qevlar AI promises to reduce alert fatigue, close skill gaps, and radically improve threat detection and response.

Qevlar AI Secures $14M to Expand Globally and Strengthen Product Development

In its latest funding milestone, Qevlar AI announced a $10 million raise, bringing its total funding to $14 million since launch. The new round was led by EQT Ventures and Forgepoint Capital International, with strong backing from industry veterans such as Datadog CEO Olivier Pomel, Dataiku CEO Florian Douetteau, and former Google DeepMind product director Mehdi Ghissassi.

This capital injection will fuel Qevlar AI’s rapid expansion, including team growth—after already quadrupling in size last year—product development, and international market reach. More importantly, it will enable security teams worldwide to respond faster and smarter to the increasingly complex threat landscape.

Solving Cybersecurity’s Hardest Problems With Autonomous Agents

Founded in 2023 by Ahmed Achchak (formerly of BNP Paribas Personal Finance) and Hamza Sayah, Qevlar AI set out with a bold mission: to eliminate the bottlenecks that plague SOCs. From alert overload to manual investigations and lack of skilled analysts, the challenges were clear.

“Our industry is facing an impossible math problem,” said CEO Ahmed Achchak. “One analyst might face thousands of alerts each day, but can only investigate a handful properly. Our AI agents flip that equation—they conduct thorough investigations in seconds with unmatched consistency and precision.”

Qevlar’s AI platform doesn’t just support analysts; it transforms how they work. By automating tedious, repetitive tasks and streamlining investigations, Qevlar allows human experts to focus on strategic threat hunting rather than drowning in false positives.

Transforming Alert Management: From Hours to Seconds

Since its inception, Qevlar AI has delivered significant impact for enterprises and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). Clients using its platform have seen alert processing times plummet—from 40 minutes down to just three. Level 1 and Level 2 analyst workloads have been slashed by 90%, while classification accuracy has soared to 99.8%, outperforming even seasoned analysts.

By automatically resolving benign alerts, Qevlar not only improves SOC performance but also frees up valuable time and talent for more critical operations.

Seamless Integration and Smart Automation

One of Qevlar AI’s biggest advantages is its ease of integration. The startup’s autonomous investigation API fits directly into existing security systems, requiring no overhaul or complex setup. It delivers verdicts on potential threats in under a minute—far faster than human teams—and does so with up to 90% greater efficiency.

This streamlined approach has won praise across the industry. Eric Bohec, CTO at Nomios, a leading European MSSP, shared: “Qevlar drastically reduces the time we spend analyzing threats. What used to take 30 minutes can now be done in three—and we trust the results.”

Trusted by Industry Leaders Across Europe

Across the board, Qevlar AI is gaining traction with top MSSPs and digital infrastructure providers. At GlobalConnect, a major Nordic provider, CSO Daniel Aldstam highlighted how Qevlar fits into their complex security stack without disruption: “It automates Level 1 tasks and improves both speed and accuracy—without any manual steps.”

Meanwhile, French MSSP Almond tested multiple solutions before choosing Qevlar. “We needed something that could deliver clear verdicts and confidence levels so we could scale automation,” said Julien Steunou, Managing Partner. “Qevlar delivered exactly that. Now, over 80% of cases are resolved automatically, with humans stepping in only when needed. That’s a game changer.”

Backed by Cybersecurity’s Top Minds

Investors are taking notice. “Fighting advanced cyber threats requires an even smarter AI defense,” said Julien Hobeika, Partner at EQT Ventures. “Qevlar AI’s agentic approach offers exactly that—and we’re proud to support their vision as they reimagine how SOCs function worldwide.”
