Technology consulting firm OP, formerly known as OrangePeople, has named Vijay Chemuturi as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 30 years of experience, Chemuturi brings deep expertise in AI-driven transformation that will be crucial in scaling OP’s next phase of growth.
A Proven Leader in AI-Powered Enterprise Innovation
Before joining OP, Chemuturi held senior leadership roles at Toyota, where he led major digital initiatives. At Toyota, he introduced the company’s first connected platform—later branded Toyota Connected—and built its initial data science team. His work resulted in new platforms like Customer360, Quality360, and the Loyalty Engagement Opportunity tool.
These AI-driven platforms transformed Toyota’s operations by enhancing customer insights, improving product quality, and streamlining manufacturing and supply chain functions. Additionally, Chemuturi’s strategic leadership earned him multiple first-place wins at Toyota’s Global Hackathon and Innovation Fair.
Driving Cloud Modernization and Multicloud Adoption
Chemuturi also played a key role in modernizing Toyota’s 45-year-old mainframe systems. Working closely with AWS, he led the shift toward multicloud architecture, helping Toyota reimagine legacy processes while embracing cutting-edge cloud technologies.
As the chief architect of Toyota’s integrated tech strategy, Chemuturi shaped the company’s approach to data, AI, and enterprise modernization. His leadership in generative AI and cloud innovation became the foundation for Toyota’s digital future.
Leading OP’s AI-First Strategy and Proprietary Platforms
At OP, Chemuturi will drive the firm’s AI-first consulting model, focusing on developing proprietary platforms like OranGPT, an advanced enterprise architecture tool, and TruthIn.ai, a transparency-driven AI solution for consumers.
