Browser security startup LayerX has raised an additional $11 million in a Series A extension round, boosting its total funding to $45 million. The new investment was led by Jump Capital, with participation from Dell Technologies Capital and Glilot Capital Partners.
LayerX offers an AI-driven browser security platform that protects users from modern web threats. Its lightweight enterprise browser extension integrates seamlessly with Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, giving organizations real-time visibility and control over browsing sessions without disrupting user experience.
Designed to address emerging risks, the platform detects risky browser extensions, prevents sensitive data leaks, blocks phishing websites, and enforces identity-based access controls to cloud services. It also tackles security gaps caused by generative AI tools and SaaS applications.
Instead of forcing companies to adopt dedicated “work browsers” or complex Secure Service Edge (SSE) solutions, LayerX offers an easier alternative.
According to Or Eshed, co-founder and CEO of LayerX, enterprises today are caught between two costly choices. They can either add layers of complexity and latency through SSE solutions or frustrate users by replacing familiar browsers with restrictive enterprise browsers like Island.
LayerX, Eshed explained, eliminates this dilemma by delivering powerful last-mile security without slowing operations or disrupting employee workflows.
The company’s AI-powered extension is already gaining traction among businesses looking to modernize their security posture without sacrificing speed or usability.
